A brand new role for a site that develops chilled prepared foods for retail clients. We are looking for a Chef with a strong culinary background, who still after a number of years cooking is inspired and excited by developing and evolving recipes, trialling new ideas who can remain focused and determined to make them work. A sound knowledge of culinary techniques and food trends is vital you'll need to be able to reflect on past culinary experiences to translate recipes into factory friendly commercially viable products, able to work with process and factory teams to resolve production issues. Previous experience of a food manufacturing environment will be most definitely an advantage. As the site Chef you will be tasked to develop products in line with briefs, meeting food values and cost parameters and identify potential areas of growth developing the category. Educate the team and sharing and raising food standards and values across the division - receptive to learning from others. Your organisational and communication skills will need to be resourceful and flexible. Car driver/owner essential.
