A Development Chef is required for an established ready meal manufacturer based in West London. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not a pre requisite.

This is a Chef lead business, where processes are not far removed from conventional kitchen methods and techniques, which allows products to really deliver a positive point of difference. The Development team pride themselves in delivering authenticity, quality and consistency. Factory capabilities are extremely versatile which lend itself to innovation. This is an exciting time to join this organisation as they are expanding and exploring product areas. Only high calibre skilled Chefs with a solid foundation who have gone on to expand and develop their own knowledge and expertise with through sustained periods of employment and progression need apply, experience in Traditional, Mediterranean and modern new world cuisines will be essential. Experience would have ideally be gained from spending time abroad or by working in high respected establishments. You will be known for delivering exciting flavour combinations and be able to recognise what good is. As a Development Chef you would be accountable for managing projects, trialling recipes, hosting internal and customer presentations and taking ownership of the product through to the factory. This is a regular customer-facing role therefore vital personally you will need to be professionally presented, methodical and organised, able to articulate, engage and enthuse others with your passion, receptive to others ideas, not afraid to be questioned or criticised. This role is a real CV move and longer term has genuine career prospects for the right candidate with drive and integrity. A car driver /owner and computer literate essential.
