A major force in food manufacturing, our client sets the standard in its sector, and the challenge here will be to manage HR activity directly linked to business growth in this stand alone operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and capable HR Manager to take the reigns of a major manufacturing operation and help drive the business agenda.

There is a need to find a HR business partner who can help the Managing Director drive the culture, allowing the business to prepare for it's future success by being more customer aligned and embedding the Groups values into the business. This will involve all aspects of generalist HR and will require extensive cross-functional accountability throughout the business. As well as the usual but critical aspects of site HR management, you will need to be a strong Change Agent - the catalyst for new ways of working as the business continues to develop at the declared fast pace.

As the HR expert on the senior team, you will be accountable for HR Best Practice implementation, ensuring the business fulfils its own targets and conforms to Group policy, and helps initiate innovative new approaches. Whilst leading, coaching and mentoring your own staff, you will also be highly instrumental in developing the overall skills base within the business. .

We need to find an individual with the ability to get to grips with the business strategy and translate it into a vision for the teams in the operation. This is a site and a business that is going places and we need an HR professional who wants to progress just as quickly. It is also essential that you are a team player with strong influencing skills and the ability to win and develop the credibility for the HR discipline within the business.

In the role, you will provide HR expertise, direction and guidance to the MD and senior management team in all key HR areas on a strategic, tactical and operational level. Your HR management experience, will preferably include some time in manufacturing, and you will be able to demonstrate that you have successfully applied the learning's and experiences you have had to date. It would be particularly useful if you could also prove involvement with significant change strategy.

There will be a very full HR agenda and you will have exposure to every facet of the discipline. With CIPD qualification, we are looking for well-developed influencing and persuasion skills, a proven track record in relationship building, strong communication ability and the skills to drive large long-term projects to fruition and evaluate the success. You will be flexible in approach, be very confident in manner, and have commercially focused HR.
