Our client is an international fmcg manufacturer of own label and branded products for all the major multiple retailers. These include Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda, Morrison and M&S. Due to the progression of the last incumbent, we are actively looking to recruit a Stock Control Manager. This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager, and will manage the day to day stock control of materials on site, driving improvements in stock accuracy and waste reduction. This will cover goods in, inventory, reviewing storage systems, being responsible for improvement in waste management systems and the development of logistical KPI's. As part of a proactive and energetic team you will be keen to drive continuous improvement initiatives across your remit of control.
"Actively promote a safe working environment for all site staff.
"Manage the day to day control of the Stores operation - motivating and controlling the behaviour of the Team and establishing efficient working practices across various shift patterns, with particular attention to the control of holidays, overtime, sickness and absence.
"Responsible for Goods In process.
"Accountable for stock control and accuracy of all site materials.
"Work closely with Stock Controllers investigating material variances, identifying and implementing solutions for the root causes. Responsible for the issuing of stock into Production and the accurate issuing of ingredients to plan via the business system
"Work closely with Purchasing on material rationalisation and adding structure to inbound deliveries.
"Work closely with Planning team to ensure balanced delivery schedules and accurate 'checking off', receipt of deliveries and thorough system recording
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role, have a background in fmcg / retail, have had Supervisory or Management experience and be well versed with dealing with 3rd party suppliers / hauliers.
