EBI Food Safety is a young, strong and growing company in life sciences, located in The Netherlands with a brand new technology center and manufacturing facility in Wageningen Food Valley. EBI Food Safety develops and supplies natural anti-bacterial food safety solutions, based on its bacteriophage technology. They are recognised as product leader and committed to making the application of bacteriophages the new industry standard for the control of pathogens in food products. Focus application areas are a.o. meat, fish and cheese. Currently their product against Listeria is very successful in the market and was recently in the spotlight as winner of the Golden FI Award 2007. In order to realise the ambitious growth plan, we are currently searching for a Senior Sales Manager
Big challenge for B2B sales professional with entrepreneurial mind set - Wageningen

Position
- Responsible for delivering sales growth at customers worldwide on the short term as well as contributing to building a professional sales team on the longer term
- Maintaining existing business with a number of priority international and local accounts
- Driving business growth with the larger accounts by leading complex, multi-disciplinary customer projects
- Identifying customer needs and exploring new business opportunities within the food safety market
- Setting up a distribution network in various countries
- Contributing to the professional development and drive of the sales team
- Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer

Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or economical direction
- Senior work experience in the international B2B food industry, preferably with affinity for relevant application areas such as meat, fish and cheese
- Comfortable working and travelling in an international business environment
- Excellent external and internal communication skills, with fluency in English and preferably good knowledge of other European languages
- Personal skills: customer focus, drive for results, business acumen, interpersonal effectiveness, taking ownership, dealing with ambiguity and team play
