We have a newly created position with a market leader within a wide range of product sectors who are now looking for a Process Development Technologist.

Your role will be to project-manage products from concept to launch - with support from the Process Development Manager. You will act as an ambassador and champion for Process Development within the factory and work closely with operations and manufacturing teams to co-ordinate trials and introduce new products. You will also prepare product specifications as well as co-ordinating artwork and packaging.

You'll need to have a Food Science degree or similar and some demonstrable practical experience in a process development / technologist role gained in the food industry within an FMCG environment. Your experience must also include managing and co-ordinating production trials.

Key Responsibilities
· Project manage the introduction of new products to the factory replicating development concepts on a factory scale
· Support the NPD Chefs and Development teams in concept development
· Create and document product specifications
· Manage packaging and artwork processes
· Manage relationships with retailers in the development of own label products

Previous experience
· Demonstrable practical experience in a process development / technologist role essential
· Experience gained in the food industry ideally in an FMCG environment essential
· Proven experience in managing and co-ordinating production trials with Engineering / Operations teams
· Knowledge of production processes would be advantageous
· Exposure to major multiple grocers and knowledge of retailer brand beneficial
